Nonfiction Writing

When I first started this website, I envisioned the space as a repository for any writing I did around my experiences navigating life as a blind woman.  I started with a couple of blog posts about my unexpected vision loss. Then I branched out, getting my stories about going, or being, blind published in literary outlets. Opening Up my World is about my experience in Zion National Park. Going to Zion as a blind person made me realize I could explore the outdoors, almost without limitation. I Did It is a story is meant to shine a light on the professional success blind people can achieve. You Got This is a triathlon story meant to shines a light on those who guide for blind athletes. And the story titled Seeing is Believing highlights the difficulties of young blind professionals trying to jump start their careers.

Links to all these stories, as well as additional blog posts on the website, are listed below.
